Counseling Services

The Pfeiffer Institute for Marriage and Family Therapy provides affordable and confidential counseling services in a strength-based approach for optimal health and functioning. The clinic was established as a mental health and wellness resource to the community and as an added resource to students. In addition, the clinic provides master's level graduate students of the Marriage and Family Therapy Program opportunities to provide direct therapy services to individuals, couples, families and groups.

The therapist interns promote healthy emotional development and are trained to address the following issues:

  • Depression & Anxiety
  • Couples therapy
  • Pre-marital counseling
  • Family therapy
  • Parenting support
  • Grief & Loss counseling
  • Work & Career issues
  • Stress management
  • Life transitions
  • Conflict resolution

All therapy services are confidential. Records are not accessible to family, faculty, administrator, or anyone except the student and therapist (unless the student signs a witnessed statement allowing other such access or as required by law).
