Master of Arts in Practical Theology

A native of Fayetteville, NC married with three children, I relocated to Charlotte in 2009 to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and continued to work in education as an Instructional Assistant/Tutor. Continuing to pursue the ultimate call and ecstatic about beginning at Pfeiffer, the MAPT program allows me to finish and accomplish a goal that has been long over due. Additionally, I have always had a passion for ministry and counseling and working with underprivileged youth. I believe our future relies on the guidance and nurturing of the youth of our community to be well rounded with academics, a strong spiritual relationship with Christ and confident within themselves and the decisions they make. MAPT will afford me the opportunity to receive educational professional and Christian preparation for ministry needs.  The Master of Arts in Practical Theology program offers at least two specialization tracks that would support my desire to continue to explore Christian Counseling. The program will give a perspective on Pastoral ministry as well. As I continue to search for my place in ministry perhaps a youth pastor with continual guidance through this program I should be well prepared in whatever endeavors I face.
